Description
Few country clubs offer golfers such a historic connection to the traditions of the game. The three championship courses at BallenIsles were originally commissioned by John D. MacArthur to serve as the home of the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA). In addition to hosting the World Cup Championship, the PGA Championship, and the PGA Seniors' Championship in the 1970s, these are the courses where many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour.
The North and East courses, designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee, and the South course, recently redesigned by Gene Bates Golf Design, are magnificent in their maturity, impeccably maintained, and reserved strictly for members and their guests.
Amenities
BallenIsles' magnificent 72,000 square-foot Grand Clubhouse provides a setting of unsurpassed splendor. A spacious bar and grill room, private dining rooms, and well-appointed locker rooms are among the elegant settings within the Clubhouse for members and their guests. Additionally, a complete golf pro shop caters to all the golfer's needs.
Both serious competitors and leisurely players alike find BallenIsles' Tennis and Fitness Center to be challenging and fun. The 23-court tennis complex includes a large viewing promenade and the finest teaching facilities and staff in the area. The Center also includes a tennis pro shop, a sparkling pool with an enormous deck area for sunning and lounging, the Courtside Café, and an indoor fitness center complete with state-of-the-art equipment, aerobics room, private massage rooms, and saunas.
