Description

Designed by Edmund Ault in 1963, this 6,713 yard, par-72 layout is characterized by slightly rolling hills indicative to the area. The course offers undulating bentgrass greens, several long doglegs and water hazards that come into play making it a challenge for players of all levels. Previously a host for Kemper Open qualifying and a local qualifying site for the 1994 U.S. Open, Montgomery Country Club is widely recognized for its superb layout and conditioning. In 2010, the championship course hosted the Maryland State Golf Association (MSGA) Senior Women’s Amateur and a Middle Atlantic PGA Match Play qualifier, and is scheduled to host the 2011 MSGA Senior Open. The installation of a new irrigation system and new greens, along with extensive bunker renovations, has enhanced the natural aesthetics and playability of this gem, making it the place to play in the metropolitan area.

The Member’s Only Grille provides excellent food and beverage service for breakfast, lunch and dinner from an American fusion cuisine menu. Daily events, from Kids Eat Free Tuesdays and Steak Night Wednesdays to our monthly Wine Club events, will provide entertainment for the whole family. The Club also offers a full-service dining room and a cozy patio that feature breathtaking views of the starting and finishing holes.

The Golf Shop offers members and their guests the latest in apparel, equipment and accessories at competitive prices. Golf club services include the labeling of each club with your name and address, bag storage with your bag ready for play upon your arrival, the cleaning and inspection of your clubs after each round and repairs, if necessary. The friendly and experienced golf staff can provide a formatted group program or individual, private lessons on our grass or synthetic ranges, in the practice sand bunker and on the manicured practice putting green.

The Club’s swimming facilities include a 25-yard lap pool — home to our swim team, the Dolphins — and an infant pool. The pool area features poolside cocktail service from the Snack Shop and a grassy knoll for picnics. Fully equipped locker rooms provide changing areas, showers and restrooms for the convenience of our Members and guests. The pool is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in season, Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather and special circumstances permitting.

Banquet facilities serve up to 180 guests in the “Room with a View.” Members are able to reserve the space for special, private events free of charge. Let the club’s banquet staff help you host your perfect party. From breakfast to dinner, or informal meetings to weddings, we’ll host it for you!
