Description

Designed in 1901 by William Flynn, one of the greatest golf course designers of the early 20th century, Bala Golf Club offers pristine beauty and a challenge for golfers of all handicaps and skill level. This par 68 course plays at 5306 yards, but don’t make the mistake and think that the round is going to be a breeze because the yardage is short. The course was designed to challenge any golfer with many bunkers, water hazards, narrow fairways, and small greens. Golfers, who think strategically and play for position rather than distance and power, fare best at Bala Golf Club.

Bala Golf Club is located minutes from Center City, Philadelphia and the Main Line. Since many of our members live in the city, they find the 10 minute ride to Bala like living next door. Members who work in Center City and live in the area, stop on the way home from work to get in a quick 9, or have a delicious dinner prepared by our Executive Chef Dan Dougherty and his top-notch culinary team.

In addition to being a great golf venue, Bala Golf Club also offers Social Dining Memberships, discounted fees for members who hold receptions in our event facilities, and reciprocal relationships with Linwood Country Club in Southern New Jersey, the Aquatic & Fitness Center and the Cynwyd Club (tennis), both located minutes from the club.

Practice area with range, chipping area and putting green. Bala Golf Club also welcomes it's members and their guest to enjoy food and beverage selections in our Grill Room or more formal Dining Room.
