The design of Applebrook Golf Club honors the great traditions of golf and classic Philadelphia architecture. Drawing from his knowledge of traditional designs, Gil Hanse has crafted a golf course that feels right at home in this golf rich area. The course has been laid out to provide the maximum variety in way of terrain, change of direction, and balance. A wide range of distances challenge players of all abilities. The par 4’s range in distance from 310 yards to 466 yards. Five par 3’s from 121 yards to 224 yards. Scoring opportunities are provided with two reachable par 5’s, however; the other two par 5’s are rarely reached by even the longest hitters. The routing incorporates the best natural features the site has to offer, and integrates these features into the strategy and beauty of the golf course.

The golf course was designed with the walking golfer in mind. Applebrook further enhances the experience with one of golf’s great traditions, the caddie. We have established our Caddie Program as one of the premiere programs in the northeast.

Combining the highest standards in maintenance with the finest design elements, the course repeatedly holds the members' interest. Applebrook is a golf course that is first and foremost a joy to play. It is our belief that the lasting testament to a great golf course is that the members look forward to playing it round after round. Through the use of traditional features, subtlety, and attention to detail, we have created a classic golf course at Applebrook.

Practice Facility

A championship golf course requires a practice facility to match. Our 8 acre practice area is just that. Our 36,000 square foot bentgrass driving range tee is maintained at the same height as our fairways and allows our members to hit off of turf throughout the entire season. Four target greens with bunkers, placed at 50-yard intervals, simulate authentic approach shots while practicing.  The practice area also includes a short game area for pitching, chipping and bunker practice.  In addition, a 10,000 square foot practice green gives members plenty of space to practice their putts.
